Premium Quality 1 x 30 Inch Sanding Belts

In need of new sanding belts for your 1” x 30” belt sander? Red Label Abrasives manufactures industrial grade 1” x 30” sanding belts and ships them right to your door. We carry belts for every type of application and we can help match you with the best 1 x 30 inch sanding belts for your needs.

Types Of Belts Available In A 1” x 30” Size

Red Label Abrasives offers a number of different types of belts in a 1” x 30” size. The type of belt that is best suited for your needs will depend on your application. Below is a brief description of all of the different types of 1” x 30” sanding belts that Red Label Abrasives offers.

  • Open coat aluminum oxide:If you’re a woodworker, you’re going to want open coat aluminum oxide sanding belts. These belts offer more open space in between abrasive grains, which creates an opportunity for more sanding residue to fall off the belt. The additional space also creates more air flow, which can prevent wood resins and finish from softening.
  • Closed coat aluminum oxide:Closed coat aluminum oxide features more abrasive grains along the surface of the belt compared to open coat aluminum oxide. This coating type is designed for harder materials like metal and hardwoods. Closed coat aluminum oxide is one of the least expensive abrasive grains, but it also has the shortest lifespan.
  • Silicon carbide:Silicon carbide is a specialty grain that works really well for sanding a few specific materials. Silicon carbide belts are primarily used to sand marble, glass, and garnet.
  • Zirconia:Zirconia works best on harder materials like ferrous and non-ferrous metals and hardwoods. It was once the strongest abrasive grain, but has since been superseded by ceramic. Zirconia now serves as a nice middle ground abrasive that is longer lasting than aluminum oxide and cheaper than ceramic.
  • Ceramic:Ceramic is a premium abrasive grain designed for harder materials like metal and hardwood. It cuts more aggressively than zirconia and aluminum oxide, which can save you time. It also lasts longer than zirconia and aluminum oxide. It does come with a higher price point, but you often save money buying ceramic in the long run, because ceramic belts last longer.
  • Non-woven surface conditioning:Our non-woven surface conditioning belts are produced with aluminum oxide grains. The belts can be used to produce an incredible finish on aluminum, irregular steel, and stainless steel surfaces.
  • Non-woven polishing / buffing:Red Label’s non-woven polishing and buffing belts consist of an open web material on a cloth backing. The belts serve as a cost effective alternative to leather strop belts. They can be used to hone, buff, sharpen, and polish ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
